September’s “Something New to Me” activity re-sparked my love of learning with others in face to face workshops. While this was a chalk painting class I believe the potential benefits ring true across all face to face learning opportunities.

Learning in a group setting can unleash unparalleled collaborative energy. Interacting with diverse minds sparks creativity and pushes your boundaries.

In face to face settings you receive instant, personalized feedback. I find that incredibly valuable. It allows me to test, modify technique/approach, and learn in real time.

Face to face workshops foster genuine human connections. Meeting like-minded people, sharing experiences and collaborating in real time is difficult to replicate online.
