Distilling your thoughts on paper
I’m surprising myself that I’m wanting, (I’ve moved beyond thinking about it) to start blogging again.
When Blogger was in beta I started my first blog, TrishAlan Designs. I posted everyday, because that’s what the SEO advice was. Not that it was called SEO back then. That blog certainly worked for us business wise; gave me credibility, instilled some chutzpah in my step which in turn led me to approaching a magazine about doing a different style of weekly craft column and, eventually to writing 2 books.
When I stopped blogging I didn’t miss it. Maybe because what I was writing about was no longer relevant to how I was living my life. Even when I started working with the website designer I said a firm NO to a blog page. And I meant it…… then.
That was mid May yet by July I was writing in my journal in the wee hours of the morning and I noted ‘that can go on my blog’. My blog? Wait on, you don’t want to blog again. I sat with it for a bit, letting it percolate on its own. By the first of August when I sat down to write down my monthly goals there it was, without any conscious thought, on the list.
So here goes…deep breath…I’m back.
P. S. I won’t be posting daily.
Trish
